Bird is breaking more and more out of his wooden shelft(subtle) until the word "FREE"
than he breaks out and flies
*

*
eyes and skin around eyes get red during the film

Planning(new) with 5 weeks spare...  I created 'packages' of shots i want to work on every week:
Bijschrift toevoegen

Planning (old)

WHAT do I want to achieve with this project?
Most Important: A great acting performance through animation, with focus on facial animation.
Exploring emotions more detailed, demoreel, Festivals, and off course: Graduate!

WHAT kind of short?
Drama

WHAT kind of emotions do I want the audience to have?
-
Interested in the boy, sad, feel pity, angry with his dad. But most important is that they get sucked up by the performance like what people have when they watch a great actor. Like this: (audition by Henry Thomas for ET)

STORY:
It's dark and stormy weather.
We see a poster flapping in the wind, on the poster is drawn a monster.
A creepy angry looking kid with a lot of bumps on his face and back. It says: 'the terrible little freak'
The camera pans to the circus tents, and a caravan with it's lights on.
From the inside we hear the rain tick on the wooden wagon. The boy in the shadow is carving a bird out of wood. We see the parts of wood falling down on the ground. When we hear the door opens and his father comes in, we see his face, his deformation. But it's much less scary than the poster. He's kind of cute! First the kid is a little scared because his dad is coming close so fast, but then he gets a (dirty looking) small cake with one candle!
he gets asked to make a wish......
